College of Liberal Arts Psychology Department

The Psychology Department offers two undergraduate Psychology program (AB Psychology, BS Psychology) and a graduate program with 5 tracks (Industrial Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Human Development, Socio-cultural Psychology and Psychological Measurement).The overall aim of both undergraduate and graduate programs is to provide the students a balanced and firm foundation in theory and research with a Filipino and Christian orientation. The Department envisions its undergraduate and graduate students to be responsive to contemporary demands and social concerns of the Philippines.

The program offers training in understanding human, affect and behavior using scientifically rigorous methods to prepare students to pursue professional careers in the area of Business, Education, Law, Medicine, Social Work and Psychology. The program also exposes them to the different specializations in Psychology such as in Clinical Psychology, Health Psychology, Industrial-Organizational Psychology and Sikolohiyang Filipino. The Psychology program also involves students in the research collaboration that equips them to work ethically in generating research problems, proposing methodology, gathering data, analyzing and interpreting these.


The Psychology Department is a diverse community of faculty and students responsive to contemporary social concerns. It aspires for optimal human development by harnessing the intellectual capacity of the individual for commitment to moral principles and social service.


The Lasallian Psychology student is a critical, self-aware learner grounded in Christian values, demonstrating integrity in scientific inquiry and in personal and interpersonal contexts.


The Psychology Department develops competencies in critical inquiry, social engagement, and lifelong learning of students who will protect human dignity and freedom.
